Police investigate stabbing

An adult man sustained serious injuries following an altercation in downtown Nanaimo. The incident occurred just before 2 PM on Monday April 14, 2025 in the parking lot of the TD Bank, located at 9 Nicol St.

Police EHS and Fire crews responded. Officers located the victim a short distance away with several stab wounds. He was transported by BCEHS for medical treatment.

Investigators determined that an altercation ensued between two adults resulting in injuries to the victim. The suspect left the scene prior to police attending and was not located. This person was seen wearing a black full-face helmet, black clothing and was riding a multi-colored bike.

The investigation is continuing. If anyone has information on the identity of the suspect, please call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
