File # 2023-39427

A report involving an injured man who had allegedly been assaulted and robbed, led to a large police presence on the North Shore Friday morning.

On Nov. 3, 2023, around 6:35 a.m., police attended a residence on the 200-block of Larkspur Street, where several suspects were believed to be inside. Officers surrounded the address and after a lengthy standoff, two men and a woman were taken into custody. The victim was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The parties involved were known to each other.

A police presence remained in the area following the arrest as officers worked to obtain, then execute a search warrant on the residence as part of the ongoing investigation, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson. Anyone who witnessed or has information, including security video that may be related to this incident, is asked to contact police as soon as possible.

Two suspects were released with a court date and conditions. Charge recommendations are anticipated as part of the assessment and approval process.

Those with information are asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-39427.
