Search for missing climbers

On May 31, 2024, in the evening, three mountaineers were reported as overdue after not returning from climbing in Garibaldi Park, near Squamish, BC.

Squamish RCMP along with Squamish Search and Rescue have been attempted to locate them. The search has been hampered by inclement weather conditions.

In addition to the inclement weather, there are extreme avalanche conditions which rescue crews and trying to also navigate.

RCMP and Search and Rescue personnel are continuing efforts to locate the missing climbers.

No further information is available at this time.
