Langley RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision in the 7600 block of 208 St.
On March 23, 2024 at approximately 01:20 AM, the Langley RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision in the 7600 block of 208 Street. Upon arrival investigators determined that a vehicle had collided with a utility pole.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 30s was located uninjured. Investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The driver was served an immediate roadside prohibition which prohibits her from driving for 90 days along with her vehicle being impounded for 30 days.
Due to the damage caused to the utility pole, Police are advising that the roadway between 76 Avenue and 74B Avenue on 208 Street will be closed for a few hours to allow construction crews to repair the utility pole, says Cpl. Zynal Sharoom. Police are asking motorists to find alternative routes and to avoid the area.
