Prince George, Information Wanted

2025-04-23 14:04 PDT

File # 2025-10267

Prince George RCMP is requesting the public keep a look out for several items of Search and Rescue gear that were stolen out of vehicle last week.

The theft occurred overnight on April 11, 2025 in the parking lot of a hotel on the 2900-block of Recplace Drive, when close to $10,000 worth of Search and Rescue and Avalanche Recovery gear was taken. Police officers are asking members of the public to keep an eye out for these items on online marketplace forums or around town, and to report any sightings of the equipment to the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300.

Below is a complete list of the stolen items:

Unfortunately, there is no available video surveillance from the nearby businesses for police to review. If anyone who was in the area noted anything suspicious that evening, or caught anything on their dash camera or cell phone, we ask they call us to speak with an investigator, states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

This investigation remains ongoing.
