On June 12, 2025, the Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit (CC-CRU) was conducting proactive enforcement in Williams Lake. During their enforcement they observed a man making hand to hand transactions consistent with drug trafficking. The man was arrested and a warrant was sought for his residence. The man was found to be in possession of illicit drugs, cash and drug trafficking materials.
CC-CRU with assistance from Williams Lake RCMP executed a search warrant at the man’s residence and located more drugs, illicit cigarettes, money, and weapons. The man was released pending further investigation.
The Williams Lake RCMP with the support of CC-CRU are committed to disrupting the drug trade in our community, say Inspector Rob Lake Officer in Charge of Williams Lake RCMP. Our Williams Lake officers will continue to work hard to make our community a difficult place to conduct criminal activities.
