Mission Search and Rescue, along with the fire department, paramedics, and Mission RCMP are currently on scene in the area of the Dewdney Bridge, east of Mission, for a boating accident. A small boat reportedly overturned shortly before 6:30 pm. One of the occupants was able to make it to shore, but the other is missing at this time. Search efforts are currently underway. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161. More information to come.
