Coquitlam RCMP is teaming up with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) on Saturday, April 27, 2024 to educate the public on child passenger safety.
This drive-thru event will be held in the parking lot of Coquitlam Centre mall located at 2929 Barnet Highway in Coquitlam. The clinic will be set up in the south-east parking lot off Pinetree Way near Anson Avenue. Attendees will be able to have their car and booster seats checked by certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) educators II.
This event underscores our ongoing commitment to child passenger safety and public education, said Corporal Alexa Hodgins, Media Relations Officer for Coquitlam RCMP. We understand that setting up car seats can be stressful, time consuming and intimidating. At this event, families can be assured that their child car and booster seats are properly installed.

Police are encouraging the public to bring their own car and booster seats to the event, along with their child to ensure that the child is properly seated and secured. Our certified CPS educators will be able to help families choose another appropriate car or booster seat option if needed. This is in addition to aiding with installation and education.
