A Kamloops man is charged for offences including weapons and drug possession as part of an investigation that began with a traffic stop.
On Friday Feb. 14, 2025, around 2:10 p.m., a Kamloops RCMP frontline officer was in the area of Fleetwood Avenue when he observed a black car with no front license plate and multiple passengers. The officer conducted a vehicle stop and discovered the driver had an ‘N’ license. As part of the investigation, a passenger was arrested for obstruction and later discovered to be wanted on a warrant out of Merritt.
As backup officers arrived to assist, a number of other items were located and seized by police, including a loaded handgun, loaded long-gun, cash, drugs, ammunition, and other items, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson.

Two people were arrested at the scene.
The driver was later released and charged with Motor Vehicle Act and Regulation violations related to driving contrary to conditions and restrictions, improper display of a licence plate, and while impaired by drugs. A 24-hour prohibition was issued and the vehicle was impounded.
Another man was held for a bail hearing, during which he was remanded in custody until his next court appearance, scheduled for Tuesday March 4, 2025.
Julian Noah Robinson, 24 years old, of Quilchena, BC, faces six charges including obstruction, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, firearm offences, and failure to comply with a court order.
