On Friday, September 27th, 2024, at approximately 9:20 PM, emergency services including the Prince George RCMP received a report of a house fire in the 2000 block of Quince Street in Prince George.
Frontline officers arrived within minutes and observed flames coming out of the residence. Officers assisted in evacuating nearby residences and obtained statements from witnesses on scene.
Once the fire was extinguished, a deceased person was located inside the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and therefore the scene has been secured. The Prince George RCMP Serious Crime Unit has conduct of the investigation.
This residence is known to police and has been the subject of police investigations in the past. Further updates will be provided as the investigation develops.
