West Shore RCMP has experienced a higher than average number of stolen vehicles reported to police in the first 2 months of 2025.
West Shore RCMP has received 22 reports of vehicle theft from January 1, 2025, to February 25, 2025, as compared to 8 reports of vehicle theft for the same time period last year. Nine out of the twenty two vehicles reported stolen in 2025 are pick-up trucks.
While police are working hard to investigate these vehicle thefts, there are protective measures vehicle owners can take to mitigate the chances of their vehicles being stolen. Here are some tips on how to keep your vehicle safe from theft:
