On May 9, 2025 at 4:27 pm, Sunshine Coast RCMP attended to a residential fire at 5434 Matukwun Lane in Sechelt. The Sechelt Fire Department was first on scene and requested police assistance.
Upon arrival, Police confirmed that no individuals were inside the residence at the time of the fire. The home sustained significant damage.
Police are now working in collaboration with the Sechelt Fire Department to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. At this time, the investigation remains in its early stages and no further details are available.
Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
