Man charged after hit-and-run that injured Langley Mountie

On August 9, 2024 at approximately 11:20 am, a Langley RCMP officer was conducting traffic enforcement duties in the 5000 block of 208th Street when the police officer was struck by a vehicle.

The Langley RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit has worked diligently and conducted a comprehensive investigation, which has now resulted in charges, said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. This hit-and-run has had a profound impact on the officer who was seriously injured and is still in the process of recovering.
