In December, 2024, the Terrace RCMP received information that led them to begin an investigation into potential firearms manufacturing.
The Terrace Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) took conduct of the investigation and worked with other units and agencies including Terrace General Investigation Section (GIS), Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), and National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST).
The efforts of the Terrace CRU led to the execution of a search warrant in Terrace on January 23, 2025. Two individuals were taken into custody for firearm related offences.
Some of the items located during the search included:
Terrace RCMP will be forwarding the results of their investigation to crown counsel for consideration of charges.
