Police continue investigation into pedestrian involved collision

North District, Vanderhoof

On Friday, September 20, 2024 at 9:28 pm, Vanderhoof RCMP and BC Highway Patrol, (Prince George) were called to the scene of a collision on Highway 16 near Jardine Road.

When police arrived, it was evident that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle that did not remain on the scene. Sadly, the adult man was deceased at the scene.

The investigation is active and police are looking to the public to help further the investigation. If you were in the area of Highway 16 and Jardine road on Friday September 20, 2024, between the hours of 9 - 10 pm and have dash cam footage, saw the pedestrian, or have any information regarding this tragedy, you are asked to call the BCHP at (250)-649-4004.
