This past Saturday at the Randy Ellis Lacrosse Days event held at Centennial Arena, White Rock RCMP recognized 4 remarkable youth for their community service and leadership.
A last-minute cancellation at the 2024 White Rock RCMP and Fire Open house caused a call out to local lacrosse community for help. Four local Semiahmoo Lacrosse Association players stepped up immediately and came out during the hail storm.
These youth came out ready to volunteer in any capacity required. Their enthusiasm and excitement was contagious said Community Policing manager Romy Devries. They were eager to help and interact with the public.

Besides running an interactive Semiahmoo lacrosse station, the youth helped out with set up and clean up and remained upbeat and positive through the rain, sleet and afternoon sunshine.
Colter, Grayson and Garreth were presented their thank you letters and challenge coins before their game this past Saturday. Caitlyn was presented hers at the White Rock RCMP detachment earlier in the week.
The 2025 White Rock RCMP and Fire open house will be held Saturday May 10th, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is a free event and is open to the public. For more information contact Romy Devries at 778-545-4778.
