Police cruiser stuffed with donations during annual toy drive

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment provided a van full of toys with a special escort to Christmas Amalgamated this weekend.

On Saturday Nov. 30, 2024, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment held its annual Stuff the Cruiser toy drive in support of Christmas Amalgamated. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sergeant Safety Bear and volunteers from the Crime Prevention Unit parked their vehicles in front of the Toys R Us on Notre Dame Drive to collect unwrapped gifts and monetary donations for local children throughout the city. In total, the event is estimated to have brought in more than $365 in cash and 2,200 items for distribution in holiday hampers to kids and teens.
