Kamloops City

2025-02-19 10:28 PST

File # 2025-3360

Residents may experience a slight traffic disruption this morning on the North Shore while Kamloops police officers execute a search warrant.

Just before 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, members of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment’s Crime Reduction Unit, with the support of frontline officers, attended a residence on the 1800-block of Parkcrest Avenue as part of an ongoing property crime investigation. A portion of the roadway near Laroque Street has been closed briefly as a result. The public is asked to please avoid the area until it reopens to traffic and the police presence is reduced.

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment appreciates the public’s support and patience as it works to further this investigation into the ongoing concerns surrounding stolen property and crime in the community, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson.

An update on the investigation will be provided once it becomes available.

Anyone with information related to this or other property crime is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000.
