Update: Road are now open to all traffic
Surrey RCMP is advising the public that the 32nd Avenue Diversion off of Hwy 99 is closed in both east and west directions due to a single vehicle collision.
On July 6th, 2024, at 2:20 AM, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision. The driver, and sole occupant has suffered possible life-threatening injuries. A hydro box has also sustained damage resulting in the traffic lights no longer functioning.
Due to the serious nature of the collision, 32nd Avenue is expected to be shut down for a considerable period of time and may impact commuters. Police kindly request that the public plan alternate routes.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage from the area at the time of the collision is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-97896.
