Kamloops City

2023-11-23 15:30 PST

File # 2023-41470

One person was arrested, and a suspect is still outstanding, after a Sahali business was broken into Wednesday morning.

On Nov. 22, 2023, around 6:35 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to a commercial location on the 500-block of Notre Dame Drive, where a man was observed breaking a window and leaving with a large bag of merchandise. The break-in suspect fled on foot. Shortly after, a woman allegedly approached the store, grabbed a box, and fled; she was located nearby and arrested.

The woman was released with a court date and conditions, but the male suspect is still on the loose, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. If anyone witnessed or has video in the area that is related to this investigation, please contact police as soon as possible.

The suspect is described only as a male in dark clothing.

Those with information are asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference 2023-41470.
