Police investigate incident of laser pointing at aircrafts

The North Cowichan RCMP is looking for information on an incident reported on the evening of February 11th, 2025.

An aircraft leaving the Victoria International Airport was targeted with a blue laser for several seconds while flying over the Duncan area.

The pilots were able to determine the laser came from an area on the north side of Maple Bay Road.

If you witnessed anything that could help identify where the laser originated please contact the North Cowichan RCMP at (250)749-5522.
