Both suspects were arrested without incident.
The female was released on an Appearance Notice with a future court date of February 25, 2025.
The male suspect, Jean-Paul Roberts, was held for court and is facing a charge of Fail to comply with Release Order.
Jean-Paul Roberts also received several violation tickets under the BC Motor Vehicle Act. The Dodge pickup truck was impounded.
This is a great example of a vigilant member of the public partnering with the police to intervene in a situation, said Constable Chad Neustaeter, Fort St John Media Relations Officer. All the items loaded on the trailer were returned to the construction site.
