File # 2023-24262
The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the two woman shown in the attached photos. It is alleged that at approximately 2 PM on July 16, 2023, the suspects stole almost $300 of produce from the Real Canadian Superstore, located on Metral Drive. Police have recently received still images of the two.
Store security told police that two were seen selecting various items from shelves then placing them in a baby stroller that one of the women was pushing. In the stroller was a small child. The two suspects were seen going through the self-check however, none of the items placed in the stroller were paid for. When security confronted the two outside the store, they refused to cooperate and left the premises with the unpaid items.
Suspect # 1 is a Caucasian woman, 30-35 years of age, long blonde hair and wearing a dark colored dress. Suspect #2 is described as a Caucasian woman, 30-35 years old, red hair, black shorts, pushing a baby stroller. Of note, she had a tattoo on her right elbow.
