On Sunday, October 8, 2023 Williams Lake RCMP arrested a 25-year-old woman after she was caught allegedly breaking into several vehicles. The woman was also in breach of her probation order at the time of the offence.
BC Prosecution Services has approved five charges against Kayla Stratton including theft under and breach of probation. She was held in custody to appear before a judge and was released on October 11, 2023.
On Thursday, October 12, 2023 a little over 24 hours after being released, she was arrested after being caught for allegedly shoplifting and breaching her probation. She was later released.
Williams Lake RCMP continue to make efforts to bring repeat criminals before the courts to be held accountable for their crimes.
