Police incident results in multiple vehicle damage and minor injuries

An officer is recovering after a report of a man with a weapon in Comox.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on November 15, 2023 frontline officers of the Comox Valley RCMP responded to a report of a man behaving erratically, in possession of a weapon.

As police responded, the man departed in a vehicle. He was quickly located and tactically contained, resulting in his apprehension. In the process, several vehicles sustained damage, and one police officer incurred minor injuries.

The individual received medical attention and is facing several criminal charges.

The Comox Valley RCMP would like to thank residents for their patience while traffic was disrupted.
