Warrant executions: heavy police presence

Kamloops City

2024-12-05 07:02 PST

An increased police presence is visible at three residential locations in Kamloops as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

On Thursday Dec. 5, 2024, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment’s Targeted Enforcement Unit and frontline officers executed search warrants at addresses on the 900-block of Tranquille Road, 2100-block of Edgemount Avenue, and the 2500-block of Glenview Avenue.

We appreciate the public’s patience during the warrant executions and request that residents please avoid the areas until the police presence is cleared, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson.

An updated release is expected in the near future, following the results of the warrant executions. No further information related to the investigation is available at this time.

Media inquiries can be directed to Cpl. Evelyn at 250-828-3000.
