Aggravated assault charges laid

File 2024-1898

On June 23, 2024, Creston RCMP responded to a disturbance at a residence on Clement Ave, Kitchener, BC, where a verbal argument between Robert Samuels and his sister escalated into physical violence.

BC Emergency Health Services attended the scene and transported Samuels' sister to Creston Valley Hospital.

During the initial investigation, it was revealed Samuel's sister had suffered serious injuries.

The BC Prosecution Service approved a charge of Aggravated Assault against Robert Samuels.

Dangerous driving charges laid in collision

File 2023-2398

On August 27, 2023, Creston RCMP responded to a serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Arrow Creek Rd. A grey Toyota 4Runner and a red GMC Denali were involved in the collision, with significant damage to both vehicles.

Frontline officers, along with the Creston Fire Department, attended the scene. All four occupants of the GMC Denali required extraction due to their serious injuries. The driver of the 4Runner was able to extricate himself and was also transported to the hospital in Cranbrook, along with the GMC's occupants.

Evidence collected at the scene supported that the driver of the 4Runner was at fault.

Following the investigation, the BC Prosecution Service approved five counts of Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm against the driver of the 4Runner.
