Surrey RCMP is advising the public that the suspect who was involved in an alleged assault has been identified.
Background:
On July 2, 2024 Surrey RCMP received a report of an assault which occurred in the 14900 block of 84 Avenue. The victim was assaulted by a male who she indicated she had met through a social media site.
On October 18, 2024 Surrey RCMP shared photos of the suspect who allegedly assaulted the victim. The suspect has been identified. (The initial release with images has been unpublished). The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding the incident who has not yet spoken with an investigator is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-95983 to speak with one of our investigators.
