The Police Service Dogs of British Columbia - Karma and Lonny

B.C., Police Dog Services

2025-06-04 09:27 PDT

Each month the BC RCMP will feature a police dog from around the province including the Lower Mainland District Integrated Police Dog Service (IPDS) which includes partners from the Abbotsford, Delta, New Westminster, Port Moody and West Vancouver Police departments.

Daring dog duo retire to the country life

After a combined service of 12 years, Police Service Dogs (PSDs) Karma and Lonny are entering the next chapter of their careers; retirement.

This female and male powerhouse are looking forward to enjoying the country life with Cpl. Rob Budvarson and his wife, the handler’s previous PSD Felix—now 12—and their horses.

Instead of chasing bad guys, this daring duo will get their paws dirty swimming, hiking and fishing.

Let’s congratulate our canine heroes and wish them happy trails!

Thank you for your service.
