File # 2024-2245

A 49-year-old Fort Nelson man is facing two counts of uttering threats after an incident on Saturday night.

On September 14, 2024, the Northern Rockies RCMP received a report of threats at a residence on the 4500 block of Nahanni Drive. A man allegedly entered the victim’s residence and threatened him. The victim and a second man fled to safety, both apparently physically uninjured.

Members of the Northern Rockies RCMP and Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit responded, taking a man and woman into custody without incident. A search warrant was subsequently executed at the suspect’s residence.

Christopher Hall has since been charged with two counts of Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He was held in custody to appear in court today by video conference.

Police worked quickly to apprehend the suspect and secure the necessary evidence for charge approval, said Staff Sergeant Kris Clark of the BC RCMP.

Anyone with any information who has yet to speak with police is asked to call the Northern Rockies RCMP at 250-774-2700.
