The Police Service Dogs of British Columbia - Kazoo

Each month the BC RCMP will feature a police dog from around the province including the Lower Mainland District Integrated Police Dog Service (IPDS) which includes partners from the Abbotsford, Delta, New Westminster, Port Moody and West Vancouver Police departments.

Dog’s favourite off duty activity: Swimming, hiking, snowshoeing and chasing his tail.

Thing that would surprise you about the dog: His best friend is a Pug named Monsieur.

Memorable call: While posted in Yellowknife, PSD Kazoo was deployed alongside the Emergency Response Team into a remote fly-in community in frigid temperatures below -30c to locate and apprehend an armed suspect who had threatened family members and the community. After locating the suspect Kazoo safely and promptly apprehended the suspect, restoring safety and order to the community.

Police Service Dog Kazoo, a black German Shepherd, and a small yellow Pug, named Monsieur, stand together at the door of a police car. They are best friends.
