Pitt Meadows, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP is investigating a serious motor vehicle incident that occurred in Pitt Meadows earlier this morning.
On November 21, 2024, at approximately 7:25 a.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP frontline officers responded to report of a serious motor vehicle incident in the 19800 block of Old Dewdney Trunk Road in Pitt Meadows. Police arrived on scene and determined a dump truck, SUV, and a sedan were involved.
Pitt Meadows Fire and Rescue Services (PMFRS) and BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) were on scene when police arrived. BC EHS Advanced Life Support arrived on scene and extracted a trapped driver out of the sedan.
Once removed from the vehicle, BC EHS performed life-saving measures on the driver before they were transported to hospital. No other injuries were sustained by other drivers.
The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE) were also called out to assist with the investigation. Old Dewdney Trunk Road is closed between Harris Road and 203 Street in Pitt Meadows, and will remain closed for several hours as police continue to investigate.
This is currently an active and ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time.
