Over the summer months of 2023, the Lake Cowichan RCMP investigated a series of break and enters to a small business in the 100 block of Cowichan Lake Road by two masked suspects.
In August, RCMP investigators executed a search warrant in the 7000 block of Neva Rd in relation to that investigation. As new information surfaced, two suspects were identified.
On October 3rd, Lake Cowichan RCMP executed a second search warrant, this time in the 100 block of Quamichan Avenue, resulting in the recovery of stolen property and other evidence related to this series of break and enters. Lake Cowichan is a small town, powered by small businesses. When our businesses are targeted, it’s felt by the whole community. We’re thankful to those community members who have come forward with information, which has allowed us to move this investigation forward, says Cst. Brian Smith of the Lake Cowichan RCMP.
