File # 2025-983

Two individuals were arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a mobile home park in Sooke. Police are seeking further potential victims.

In August 2024, Sooke RCMP initiated a drug trafficking and sexual exploitation investigation after receiving information that two individuals were allegedly taking advantage of young vulnerable women between the age of 19 and 22 years old.

On April 22, 2025, with the assistance of the Island District RCMP Emergency Response Team, Sooke RCMP executed a search warrant under the provision of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and a search warrant under provision the Criminal Code for Sexual Assault at the mobile home. The two individuals were arrested at the scene without incident.

Police seized illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia and photographs of young women whom investigators believed to be vulnerable victims.

The investigation remains active and investigators believe there may be other victims who haven’t spoken to police yet, said Corporal Alex Bérubé, spokesperson for the BC RCMP.

Both male suspects, 48 and 51 years-old, have been released on Undertakings with protective conditions until their next court date on July 17, 2025.
