On Thursday, September 28, 2023, Smithers RCMP responded to a 9-1-1 call at a residence in Fort Babine.
When police arrived, they found an adult man deceased. One person was arrested at the scene and later released. E Division Major Crime Section was called and now has conduct of the investigation.
The individuals were known to each other and police do not believe there to be any risk to the greater public. No further information is available at this time. More details may be released as they become available.
