On May 25, 2025, at approximately 12:37 a.m. West Shore RCMP attended the 3000 block of Clement Rd in Colwood for a report of a rock that had been thrown through a window of a residence.

Since the investigation began, police have received several reports of mischief, where rocks were thrown through windows of homes on Clement Rd, Allendale Rd and Owens Rd in Colwood. Additional reports were received of damage to vehicles in this area believed to have taken place sometime during the early morning hours of May 25.

On May 25 at approximately 7:30 a.m. West Shore RCMP arrested one male in relation to this investigation. Thirty-four-year-old Christopher Elliot has been charged with Mischief over $5000 and is currently remanded in custody.

This arrest was the result of tireless work by the Frontline officers and the collaborative support from West Shore’s Investigative Support Team, whose efforts led to the identification of additional victims and witnesses, said Sergeant Kevin Shaw, who oversees the West Shore’s Investigative Support Team. The Investigative Support Team was created in 2024 to supplement and support more complex or time-consuming Frontline investigations. This is a great example of those two units working together to investigate a rash of damage to vehicles and property in support of the eventual arrest of Mr. Elliott.
