On January 29th, 2025 at 1:15 am, police were called to a report of a break and enter to the Ocean Club Cafe restaurant located at 5665 Teredo Street in Sechelt. Various items were stolen from the restaurant after the suspect entered through a side door. Police conducted foot patrols of the area and located some of the stolen items on the waterfront walkway and in Friendship Park.
At 7:30 pm that same day, police arrested a 25 year old local Sechelt man for the offence, who is well known to police. Two of the businesses iPad's are still unaccounted for.
