In the evening hours of Tuesday, October 19, 2021 100 Mile RCMP received a 911 call reporting what sounded like gunshots in the industrial area of the community.
Police responded and located a person who had succumbed to their injuries. Police are investigating how the person died and the circumstances leading up the incident.
Evidence at the scene supports that the victim died as a result of homicide and the North District Major Crime Unit was called and has conduct of the investigation, said Cpl Madonna Saunderson BC RCMP Communications.
