Police seeking public assistance in fatal hit and run

On September 8, 2024, Terrace RCMP received a report of a hit and run on Old Lakelse Lake Drive near Clark Street. A witness came across a man on the road who had suffered injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

EHS attended and the man was declared deceased on scene.

RCMP believe the man was struck by a vehicle on September 8 between the hours of 2:30 am and 3:00 am.

Police also suspect that the driver of a green dirt bike was in the area at that time and may be witness to the offence.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance and ask that if anyone witnessed:

to contact the Terrace RCMP at 250-638-7400.

No further details are being released at this time.
