On Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 1:26 p.m. frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP and BC Highway Patrol officers responded to a report of a missing 6-year-old Fruitvale girl who wandered away from her residence on Webster Road, in Fruitvale, BC.
The girl’s mother immediately noticed her daughter’s sudden disappearance from their rural property. The mother told police that she believed that her daughter had walked away and onto one of the surrounding properties. Several officers searched the area in an effort to locate the missing child.
Fortunately with a hour of the disappearance, a neighbour was alerted to the girl’s presence on his property via his security camera motion detector. Officers were informed about the girl’s location and attended this property. The officers located the girl happily playing with toys that she had found in the yard. Officers noted that the girl appeared to be in good spirits and was unharmed.
She was returned home to her very relieved parents.

Clamato
On June 7, 2025, at 2:08 p.m., frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officers responded to a report of a 42-year-old Fruitvale man causing a disturbance outside of a business in the 1900 block of Main Street, in Fruitvale, BC.
The man had been asked to leave the business after being disruptive inside the store. The man protested his unfair treatment to other customers while standing outside the business before the police were contacted.

Officers attended and located the man. Officers noted that the man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The man quickly apologized for his behaviour. He told police that he upset about being banned from the business as he wanted to purchase Clamato juice.
An officer escorted the man home and left him in the custody of his father.

On Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 10:08 a.m. a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer responded to the theft of a commercial vehicle from a business in the 5000 block of Highway 22, in Trail, BC.
A 66-year-old Vernon man had driven the commercial vehicle away from the business on the highway; however, was quickly located by the officer. The vehicle was returned to the business.
An officer spoke with the man before he was apprehended him under the Mental Health Act. The officer transported the man to the Trail hospital for a medical assessment.
Trail RCMP is looking for the man’s 1995 Chevrolet truck bearing BC licence plate WF2713 which is allegedly parked somewhere in the Trail area . If you know its whereabouts, please contact the Trail Detachment at 250-364-2566 to speak to an investigator.
