On January 9, 2025 an Apple Ipad was found at Jp Dallos Field on Scotia Place and turned into the Powell River RCMP detachment.
If anyone is missing an Ipad, please phone the detachment at 604-485-6255 with a description of the item.
On January 15, 2025, a motorized mobility chair was found outside of Willingdon Creek Village at 4980 Kiwanis Avenue. The chair does not belong to any of the residents of Willingdon Creek.
Anyone that may be missing a mobility chair or with any information is asked to please phone the Powell River RCMP detachment at 604-485-6255.
On January 11, 2025, Powell River RCMP received a 911 call in which a woman reported that her boyfriend had just assaulted her and was in need of police and medical assistance. After investigation, police determined that the woman had made a false report in an attempt to divert police resources so that her friend could drive home while impaired. The woman was arrested for public mischief and released to appear in Provincial court.
