On Monday, May 27, 2024, Burns Lake RCMP responded to a residence on 3rd Ave in the community where it was reported that someone had been stabbed.
When police arrived, they found one adult man with injuries, while another person was administering first aid.
The victim was taken to hospital where he is reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two individuals were later arrested without incident, in connection with this. One person was released on court compelling documents while the other person was held in custody pending further investigation.
All involved are known to each other and we believe this to be a targeted incident. There is nothing to suggest there is a further risk to the public.
