On February 9, just after 3:30 pm, Squamish RCMP was called out to a serious three vehicle collision involving several injured individuals on Highway 99 just north of Britannia Beach.
BC Highway Patrol (BCHP), Squamish RCMP and BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) attended and assisted on seen. The injured individuals have all been transported to lower mainland hospitals for various injuries. The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) was called out to assist with the investigation.
At this time tow trucks are at scene to help clear the highway. The RCMP continues to investigation and ensure it is safe for re-opening. Highway 99 should be open in approximately an hour to help motorists through the Sea to Sky corridor. Please check Drive BC for re-opening details.
