A large police presence on the North Shore led to the arrest of one suspect along with several guns and drugs being seized in connection to the execution of a search warrant.

On Friday Feb. 7, 2025, around 10 a.m., multiple units from the Kamloops RCMP Detachment attended the 1700-block of Brunner Avenue as part of an ongoing investigation into an arson. At the location, officers located and seized varying quantities of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine. Further to the drugs, officers also seized a handgun and three rifles.
Last week’s successful search warrant execution was part of the continuous work that our Crime Reduction Unit and General Investigation Team continue to pursue as part of their investigations as we continue to target those involved in drug trafficking and violent crime in our community, said Superintendent Jeff Pelley, Kamloops RCMP Detachment Commander.

The Kamloops Crime Reduction Unit and General Investigation Team were supported by the Southeast District Emergency Response Team for the search where one person was arrested and released as part of the ongoing investigation.
