On August 24 at 6:07 a.m. the West Shore RCMP received a call from a resident near the 3700 block of Cornus Court in Langford.
The complaint advised they had just witnessed a male suspect steal their son’s bike from outside their home. The suspect had left with the bike, stashed it somewhere nearby and was now walking on the Galloping Goose.
West Shore RCMP Frontline and Traffic Unit officers were in the area within minutes of the call and located the suspect who was arrested for theft as well as an outstanding warrant for fail to comply with conditions of a release order stemming form a Victoria Police Department investigation.
The suspect advised police where he had hidden the bicycle which was returned to the rightful owner, Keegan, pictured below:
We were happy to get Keegan his bike back and hope he enjoys more bicycle rides, said Cpl. Nancy Saggar West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.
