Prince George
2023-11-30 10:52 PST
Prince George RCMP is giving Santa a hand again this year, gathering donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and un-wrapped gifts for the Salvation Army.
On Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Mounties and community volunteers will be outside three Save-On-Foods locations throughout Prince George, to see how many times we can cram a police cruiser full of donations in time for the holiday season. Shoppers are encouraged to grab an extra item or two on their way through the shopping centre to donate on their way back out.

We will fill our police cruisers with donations as many times as we can during the four hours we are out. All donations will be provided to the Prince George Salvation Army just in time for Christmas. The Salvation Army has been generous in assisting our Victim Services program over the years and this is our way of returning that generosity, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
