Many hands make great art

Port Alberni

2023-07-28 08:55 PDT

Earlier this month several Front Line Officers attended a local day care to spend some time with the children and talk about their police cars, with an extra special visit from Port Alberni’s Forensic Identification Section, where the kids were helped with finding hidden finger prints.

To finish off the visit officers brought out the paint and invited the youngsters to leave their mark on several police cars.

Several children paint an RCMP police car with hand prints

Our officers found this to be a fun and colourful experience to build early positive relationships in the community stated Constable Richard Johns.

The many prints remained on the police cars for the remainder of the day and officers noted an increase in smiles and waving as the cars toured the city.
