Squamish RCMP assist injured rock climbers at Stawamus Chief

On August 15, 2024 Squamish RCMP received a report of a rock fall near the Stawamus Chief. It was reported that two climbers received significant injuries and would need assistance getting off the rock face.

Frist Responders attended the location and were successful in extracting the climbers from the rock face. The climbers were transported to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services.

We would like to thank the public and all the first responders for their efforts in helping the injured climbers, say Cpl. Brett Urano BC RCMP spokesperson.
