Update to unfolding incident at residence

Kelowna

2025-04-16 13:03 PDT

The unfolding aspect of an investigation at a residence in the 600-block of Ziprick Road has ended. All residents and bystanders in the surrounding area are now free to move around as necessary. No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.

The report in which police responded to and are currently investigating is allegedly violent in nature and the necessary safety precautions were taken, says Cpl. Michael Gauthier Media Relations Officer. Thank you to the Southeast District Emergency Response Team, our special teams and frontline officers for a safe resolution. Thank you as well to the community for understanding what is sometimes necessary to ensure the safety of a surrounding area and very importantly the safety of our officers who are navigating risk and uncertainty.
