Update: Lougheed Highway re-opened in Mission

Lougheed Highway has now re-opened in both directions in Mission, after being closed due to a collision that occurred today around 11:30 am. Early indications are that one vehicle hydroplaned and struck a vehicle in the oncoming lane. A female was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries, and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service is investigating the collision.

Lougheed Highway had been closed in both directions between Nelson Street and Oliver Street, but re-opened around 6 pm.
